Sailor Jerry Collins is the most notable American tattoo master. His contribution to the inking industry was tremendous, and his unique old school tattoo designs have become very popular today. He has also implemented disposable needles and perfected sterilization methods to reduce infection.
Jerry Collins, born in 1911 and died in 1973, was a sailor most of his lifetime. Due to his proximity with the Japanese tattoo masters, he has learned much of the exceptional inking skills and mysticism of the Far East.
